Cool Games for Car Travel
Who are they?
Each participant chooses one of the nearest cars and asks the other to tell a story about it. The flight of fantasy is not limited, and the most interesting and creative story wins, of course.
Music Battle
This game requires at least three participants: two compete, the rest act as a jury.
First, a song is chosen. The jury sets a theme, for example, 90s hip-hop or a breakup song. The contestants have a minute to choose a suitable song and perform it in turns. After that, the jury evaluates who sang better. The one who wins the most rounds (you set their number yourself) will be the winner.
Have you heard that?..
A variation of the Believe It/Don’t Believe It game on the topic of popular news. You start the question with the phrase “Have you heard that…” and continue with a real or fake news story. The opponent’s task is to determine whether it is true or false.
If he guesses correctly, he gets two points. If he misses, you steal one point from him and get two in addition. If your opponent asks for details, your points are doubled at the end of the round.
Cow on my side
This game is perfect if your route runs through the countryside. Its essence is simple. Every time you see a cow on your side of the car, shout “Cow on my side!” and get a point. If the cow is on the other side of the car, then, having managed to shout “Cow on your side!” before your opponents, you steal one point from them. If you see a cemetery and manage to shout “Ghost cow!” first, you get all the points of your opponents.
Moo!
And another funny game related to cows.
Every time you pass a pasture, you must slow down and moo loudly. You get one point for each cow that turns around when you call, and half a point for any other animal that turns around when you moo.
I have never…
A well-known game that can teach you a lot about your fellow travelers. All participants keep their palms open, and each one takes turns talking about something they have never done. Everyone who has done this thing bends a finger. The first one to bend the fingers on both hands loses.
I did, but you definitely haven’t
A reverse version of the previous game: participants talk about things they have done in the past, but are sure that others have never done them. Passengers who have never done these things bend their fingers. The person with the most fulfilling life loses again – the one who has unbent fingers left.
Chief Purchaser
Every time you stop at a gas station, everyone must find and buy a local snack, that is, a product produced in the region of your stop. The one who has more snacks by the end of the trip wins.
Taboo
Choose a popular word for your trip: for example, “gas station” or the name of your destination. Every time someone says it, they must put 50 rubles into the common bank.
Games for a car trip
The point is to show your imagination and avoid saying the forbidden word in your speech in every possible way. When you get tired of playing, the common bank can be used to pay for gas or buy groceries.
